Fitness Law Academy Courses:
Course #1: Faculty Training Course
This faculty training course was first offered in the summer of 2021 and then again in the summer of 2022. There are two options to take this course: (a) Option 1: a self-study (independent) course only, or (b) Option 2: a self-study course that also includes live Zoom classes -- see below: Course #1: Faculty Training Course
Course #2: CEC/CEU Course – Minimizing Legal Liability and Maximizing Fitness Safety
This self-study course, described below, is designed for fitness managers, exercise professionals, and students. Upon successful completion of the course, 22 ACSM CECs or 2.0 NSCA CEUs are awarded. Individuals can register anytime for the "self-study" course and complete it at their own pace. For more information, see Course #2 below.

COURSE #1 – Faculty Training Courses: Professors Can Choose the Option Best for Them
Option 1: This "self-study" course is primarily designed for faculty members who want to include legal/risk management content in an existing course. Individuals can register and complete this course anytime.
Option 2: This "self-study" course also includes a 11-week live Zoom class. It is primarily designed for faculty members who want to offer an entire course covering legal/risk management topics and possibly adopt the textbook for the course. This course is planned to begin in May 2023 -- more info will be available soon.
Professors enrolled in both courses will receive the textbook and numerous ancillaries to help them learn/apply the content presented in the textbook and to use with their students in classes as well as the option to earn ACSM CECs or NSCA CEUs. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Refund, Return, Transfer, and Cancellation Policies:
Option 1: No refunds, returns, and cancellations for Option 1. However, professors/instructors can transfer their registration to another individual. For this option, you must inform Dr. JES ([email protected]) the name and e-mail address of the person to whom you are transferring the course. You are responsible for any and all transactions and costs involved in the transfer.
Option 2 for 2022 course: Professors/instructors who need to cancel can do so if Dr. JES ([email protected]) is notified by Friday, May 20, 2022. A full refund (minus $89 to cover the cost of the textbook) will be issued. Professors keep the textbook and the course materials. No refunds May 21, 2022, or after. When cancelling, there is no option to earn CECs/CEUs.
Course Cancellation Policy:
If at any time, the course professor cancels either course (Option 1 or Option 2), a full refund will be issued provided the textbook is returned in excellent condition.

COURSE #2 – CEC/CEU Course: Minimizing Legal Liability and Maximizing Fitness Safety
NEW for 2023: 10% discount if you register by June 1, 2023! Fee for the course is $259 and with the 10% discount, it is $233. If you already have the text, the course fee in $170 and with the 10% discount, it is $153.
Earn 22 ACSM CECs and/or 2.0 NSCA CEUs. This course is the only comprehensive CEC/CEU course in the country that addresses legal and risk management concepts that are essential for all fitness managers, exercise professionals, and students to learn and apply in today’s litigious society. The course fee includes the textbook (sells for $89 on Amazon) and Study Guide that includes five files: (1) Instructions (2) Study Questions for each of the 11 chapters in the textbook, (3) Answers to all of the study questions, (4) CEC/CEU exam, and (5) Course evaluation form. Upon successful completion of this course, fitness managers and other professionals in supervisory positions can earn the Fitness Law Academy's certification: Certified Fitness Safety Manager.
